Winning Culture
Cytec believes our company culture is a key driver of our strategy.
Beginning in 2010, we established the foundation of a unified culture
that is the glue for our different business units, functions and
employees across the globe. Whatever our objectives, having a winning
attitude allows us to achieve more for our stakeholders. In 2011, we saw
many initiatives coming to life around the first behavior initiative of
1Cytec, ‘Customer Focus’ where many of our non-commercial employees have
learned a lot more about our customers and products, realizing that they
too have an important influence on customer satisfaction. In 2012, the
focus moves to ‘Empowerment and Risk Tolerance’, our second behavior
initiative.
Cytec’s Comprehensive Health & Wellness Program

Cytec implemented a program focused on employee health and wellness "Winning with Wellness". This program provides information and
opportunities for employees to improve and sustain their health and well-being.
The voluntary program helps employees take charge of their health.
Accomplishments to date include:
- Established a global support network
- Focuses on topics such as improving healthy eating,
reducing weight and exercising
- Supports medical screening of key health indicators
and a questionnaire that reviews healthy behaviors with
more than 900 employees are currently participating
The Winning with Wellness program is focused on providing
informational programming to address health risks and specific health
needs, ensuring continued activities and programs and improved
participation globally as we achieve a healthier Cytec.
Leadership Development through Andes
In 2011, we took an innovative and creative approach to leadership
development by creating the Andes Leadership Program. Through this
program, a select number of aspiring leaders participate in a diverse
set of challenging experiences over an 18-month period. The program
focuses on the development of a leader as a whole and provides the
framework to facilitate their growth with accountability for self and
team development.
