At Cytec, we have implemented an externally certified ISO-based, global SHE Management System (SHE MS) at all manufacturing and R&D sites. Our SHE MS includes both RC14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements. RC14001 is an environmental, health and safety management system standard developed by the American Chemistry Council (ACC) that combines ACC’s Responsible Care® initiative with ISO 14001. In addition, our SHE MS includes the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series or OHSAS18001 certification covering occupational health and safety.

By implementing the global SHE MS, we strive to continuously improve our SHE performance and do not differentiate by region or geography. Working on a common management system ensures that improvements are made more quickly, as the system is being assessed at all locations through a common process, with findings shared throughout operations. Our dedicated site resources are the key to this management system’s effectiveness and our continuous improvement culture. All manufacturing and research and development locations are certified as well as our corporate headquarters, reinforcing our commitment to safety, health and environmental stewardship.
