DOCUSATE
Cytec is the world’s leading supplier of Docusate sodium (DSS), a versatile and highly effective anionic surfactant. Cytec manufactures pharmaceutical grade DSS products to the highest quality standards under cGMP, ensuring exceptional quality and performance for use as either an active ingredient or excipient/formulating aid.
The product meets USP, EP and JPC codex specifications and is fully BSE/TSE compliant. In addition both the 100% and 50% products are Kosher certified by the Orthodox Union. Cytec is the holder of a USA Drug Master File (DMF) for Docusate.
Docusate is used as an active ingredient in stool softeners and laxatives as well as prenatal and geriatric vitamin preparations. As an excipient, Docusate is an excellent solubilising, wetting, dispersing and emulsifying agent that also aids in tablet formation. It also finds many other uses such as an emulsifier in creams and gels, an emulsifier and softener for ear wax removal compounds, a solublizing/dispersing agent in effervescing tablets and as a wetting agent in enema or pre-operative colon cleaning preparations.

COMPLEMIX® 100
COMPLEMIX 100 is a highly purified form of dioctyl sulfosuccinate
used in many food, beverage and fruit drink applications. COMPLEMIX 100 can be used as a food additive for the dispersion of hard-to-wet powders such as cocoa, as a solubilising agent for gums, fumaric acid and hydrophilic colloids, which are used in food as stabilizing and thickening agents and as an emulsifying agent for fruit oils.
