Cytec Announces Methanol Surcharge for Liquid
Coating Resins in Europe, Middle East and Africa
West Paterson, NJ, December 21, 2007 – Cytec
Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) announced today to its customers that
it is instating a methanol surcharge for all CYMEL® amino
cross-linking resins shipped in Europe, Middle East and Africa,
on or after January 15, 2008.
The surcharge for a given quarter will be based
upon the market price of methanol for the quarter, the ICIS FOB
Rotterdam price being used as the reference.
The surcharge will be reviewed quarterly and
will be implemented on all shipments on or after the 15th of the
first month of the quarter.
The increase is necessitated by the continued
escalation in the cost of methanol.
