Cytec Announces Price Increases on Liquid Coating Resins
in Asia Pacific

West Paterson, NJ,  ― Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) announced today that it is increasing prices of several liquid coating resins. The price increases will apply to the entire Asia Pacific region and will be effective on all shipments as of
January 1, 2007, or as contracts permit.
 
An increase of 0.15 Euro/kg will apply to the following product families:
 
VIALKYD^TM             solvent based alkyd resins,

RESYDROL^TM       water based alkyd resins,

VIACRYL^TM             and MACRYNAL^TM solvent based acrylic resins,

BECKOPOX^TM      solvent based epoxy resins,

DAOTAN^TM             polyurethane dispersions.

An increase of 0.20 Euro/kg will apply to RESAMINTM solvent based urea resins.

Cytec has been limiting and postponing these price increases as much as possible but these adjustments are now necessary to compensate for the raw materials costs.
