Cytec Announces 2008 Price Increases for
Powder Coating Resins and Related Additives in the Americas
West Paterson, NJ, December 17, 2007 – Cytec
Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) announced today to its customers that
it is increasing the prices of its CRYLCOAT® powder coating
resins and its ADDITOL® additives for powder coatings shipped in
the Americas on or after January 14, 2008.
The price increases will be between $0.05/lb.
and $0.08/lb, depending upon the grade of powder resin.
The increase is necessitated by the continued
escalation in the cost of all of the major raw materials used in
the production of polyester powder resins. The company continues
to implement new and existing cost-saving initiatives to
minimize, as much as possible, the cumulative effect of all
rising raw material, and associated energy and transportation
costs.
