Cytec Announces Global Price Increases on Liquid Coating Resins

West Paterson, NJ, Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) announced today that it is increasing globally the prices of its entire range of aminoplast resins.

Price increases will be implemented as follows:

Americas: between 0.06 and 0.10 US $/lb, depending upon the grade
Asia Pacific: 0.20 US $/kg
Europe, Middle East and Africa: 0.15 €/kg

The increase will be effective on all shipments on or after January 1, 2007, or as contracts allow.

While Cytec absorbed part of these increased costs in the last months, these pricing adjustments are necessary to offset the continuous increases in feedstocks, energy and transportation and to restore profitability.
