Cytec to Participate in Web Conference on Protective Coatings
Brussels, November 12th, 2012 – Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:
CYT) will be participating in the upcoming web conference ‘Novel
Concepts for Anticorrosive Coatings’ organized by Vincentz
Network. Dr. Florian Lunzer, TS&D Segment Manager for Protective
Coatings with Cytec’s Coating Resins Group, will give a
presentation entitled ‘New solvent-free waterborne epoxy resin
dispersions for low VOC 2-pack protective coatings’.
“Current waterborne, two-component epoxies, while eliminating
most of the volatile organic content found in solvent-based
systems, still contain a significant amount of VOC due to
commonly used coalescents. This limits the flexibility of
formulators to develop low VOC coatings with the desired
performance characteristics,” states Dr. Lunzer. “Cytec has
focused on addressing this issue, and recently developed a
solvent-free, waterborne epoxy dispersion with very good shear
stability that not only meets the needs of the protective
coatings market, but offers performance benefits.”
The web conference will take place on November 15, 2012 at 10 AM
CET. Dr. Lunzer’s presentation will begin at 10:25 following a
talk on anti-corrosive pigments by Nubiola. For more information
