The Prime Minister’s Hibiscus Award - Malaysia’s Premier
Environmental Award.
Woodland Park, NJ, 25th November 2009 - Cytec Industries Inc.
(NYSE: CYT) announces that their powder coating resins plant in
Seremban, Malaysia is awarded The Prime Minister’s Hibiscus
Award in the category of “Notable Achievement” in Environmental
Performance.
This Award provides businesses and industrial sectors the
opportunity of an independent evaluation of their environmental
commitment, management and performance; encourages enterprises
to assume proactive roles in environmental practices; and
recognizes the achievements of exemplary models for others to
emulate.
Cytec’s Plant Manager, Seremban, Encik Zulfaizal Badarudin said,
“Our Seremban team went through a 2-stage assessment and
detailed submissions on 14 areas of our environmental management
for sustainable development and a broad range of issues to
qualify for this Hibiscus Award. We are very encouraged and
excited that our team efforts to attain Cytec’s policy on
sustainability and environment protection, are also publicly
acknowledged by this Award.”
