Cytec and IMCD
Group Partner to Optimize Distribution of Polymer Additives in
Europe
Brussels, November 1st, 2010 - IMCD Group B.V. has reached an
agreement with Cytec (NYSE:CYT) to act as a distributor of
Cytec’s Polymer Additives product range. IMCD will be servicing
select Cytec customers in the European market who require higher
levels of local service, e.g. improved delivery of small
volumes. As of January 1, 2011, IMCD will be active in all
European countries, with the exception of Spain and Turkey.
“Cytec is committed to servicing all customer segments in the
European market with its value adding product range. IMCD is the
ideal partner for us to take over the distribution of our
products to customers who require higher levels of local
service,” said Paolo Arnaboldi, Cytec Sales Director Polymer
Additives, EMEA. “Cytec will continue to service all other
customers directly,” he adds.
The Cytec product line of Polymer Additives includes CYASORB®
light stabilizers and absorbers, CYANOX®
antioxidants, CYASTAT® antistatic agents, CYASORB THT®
light stabilizers, and the recently introduced, CYASORB CYNERGY
SOLUTIONS® stabilizer family. Cytec’s superior
products and technology will enable IMCD group to further
strengthen their product portfolio offered by its technical
sales executives to the emerging plastic markets.
“IMCD Benelux will become the central hub of distribution to a
specified group of Cytec customers in Europe. We will take care
of the commercial relationships, technical support and
logistics,” said Franky Meeremans, Business Manager at IMCD
Plastics, coordinator for Cytec.
