Cytec Announces Global Price Increase for AEROSOL^® Surfactant and CYLINK^® Specialty Monomer Products

Woodland Park, NJ – 20th October, 2010 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE: CYT), and its affiliated companies, today announce a selling price increase on its AEROSOL surfactant and CYLINK specialty monomer ranges. The increase will range from 3.0 to 5.5% depending on formulations and will be effective for shipments on or after 15th November 2010, or as contracts allow.

Cytec is committed to servicing and delivering value to its customers, however this price increase is necessary to compensate for increasing raw material, freight and other costs.

Cytec is a leading producer of sulfosuccinate surfactants which are used in the emulsion polymer, paints, inks, adhesives, and a myriad of other industries. CYLINK monomers are used as cross-linkers in the emulsion polymer industry.
