Cytec to Present Waterborne
Resin Solutions at Western Coatings Symposium
Woodland Park, NJ – October 20, 2009 – Cytec Industries Inc.
(NYSE: CYT) announced today that it will present two papers at
the upcoming Western Coatings Symposium. The papers will
highlight the company’s waterborne resin solutions.
The first presentation is entitled “ Waterborne Epoxy Resin
Dispersion for Low VOC, 2-Pack High Performance Metal Primers
Without Using Anti-Corrosion Pigments”. The paper will be
presented by Ming Tsang, Technical Service & Development Group
Leader, on October 26 from 3:40-4:10. The paper will highlight
Cytec’s waterborne, modified solid epoxy resin dispersion with
good flexibility and improved shear stability. Primers
formulated with this new resin provide equal or better corrosion
resistance when compared to a number of waterborne and
solventborne paint formulations, some of which contain
anti-corrosion pigments.
The second presentation is entitled “Waterborne Cationic Resins
for Tannin-Block Primers” and will also be presented by Ming
Tsang on October 28 from 9:45-10:15. The presentation will
highlight novel waterborne resin technologies designed for low
VOC, stain blocking primers for architectural wood.
