Cytec Announces Price Increase for Acrylic Resins and Additives in North America

Woodland Park, NJ – October 15, 2010 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE: CYT), and its affiliated companies, today announce a selling price increase on acrylic resins and additives sold in North America. For VIACRYL^®, MACRYNAL^®, and UCECRYL^® acrylic resins, the increase will be up to $0.14/lb, depending on grade. For MODAFLOW^® and PC Defoamer additives, the increase will up to 5% depending on grade. These increases will be effective for shipments as of November 1, 2010 or as contracts allow.

Cytec is committed to servicing and delivering value to its customers, however this price increase is necessary to compensate for the increase in raw material costs.
