Cytec Reveals Its Innovative
Leadership of Energy Curable Resins for Food Packaging
Woodland Park, NJ – October 12, 2010 – Cytec Industries Inc.
(NYSE: CYT) proactively continues to develop energy curable
resins in the area of food package coatings. The company will
share how its EBERCRYL LEOŽ products can help formulate high
quality inks as well as adhering to stringent (food instead of
environment) regulations at the upcoming National Printing Ink
Research Institute Conference. Here the company’s TS&D Manager,
UV/EB Curable Resins and Additives, Dr. Mouhcine Kanouni, will
present the topic “Energy Curable Acrylates for Food Packaging
Applications”.
“Energy curable inks and coatings can be formulated in 100%
solids systems and as such little or no Volatile Organic
Compounds (VOCs) are generated, which is a major benefit to
printers.” comments Dr. Kanouni. “Cytec has been developing for
several years a range of energy curable resins to address the
current industry concerns (for food packaging) and as
importantly, regulatory requirements.”
The 2010 NPIRI Technical Conference will be held at the Sanibel
Harbour Resort in Fort Myers, FL. Dr. Kanouni’s presentation
will be on October 20th, 2010 at 10:30am.
