Cytec Promotes Phosphines & Phosphorus Specialties at CPhI 2009

Woodland Park, NJ – October 8, 2009 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE: CYT) will promote its derivative and additive offerings at the CPhI in Madrid, Spain.

From October 13th to 15th Cytec will be presenting its range of alkyl phosphines and phosphonates for pharmaceutical applications. “We will highlight the recently launched product CYTOP® 292, a catalyst ligand in palladium catalyzed organic transformations”, says Richard Landtiser, Global Marketing Manager. “The product has been successfully utilized in Suzuki cross coupling reactions, Sonogashira reactions and carbonylation of aryl iodides. CYTOP 292 is non-hydroscopic and when not wetted by solvents it is not susceptible to air oxidation. Therefore, it is readily manipulated under ordinary atmospheric conditions”, he added.
