Cytec Announces Price Increases on its Amino Resins in
North and South America
West Paterson, NJ, October 8, 2007 ― Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT)
announced today to its customers that it is increasing prices in
North and South America on its CYMEL®, MELMAC®, BECKAMINE®, and
UFORMITE® amino resins. The increases will take effect on all
shipments on or after November 1, 2007, or as contracts allow.
These increases will apply as follows:
• US $0.06/lb for conventional melamines and conventional ureas
• US $0.012/lb for conventional benzoguanamines and high-solids
HMMM
• US $0.15/lb for high-solids glycolurils
• US $0.16/lb for high-solids melamines
• US $0.30/lb for high-solids benzoguanamines
All of the increases are necessary to offset the continued
escalation in the costs of raw materials, labor, energy and
transportation.
