Applied UV Curable Topcoats from Cytec Show Significant
Advantages Over Traditional Solutions
Brussels – October 4, 2010 – Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT)
continues to innovate in the area of UV field-applied coatings.
The company will share its latest innovations at the upcoming
PRA 7th International Woodcoatings Congress. Here the company’s
Global Marketing Manager UV/EB Curable Resins and Additives, Dr.
Stefan Smeets, will present the topic “Waterbased Field Applied
UV Curable Topcoats for Wood Floorings”.
In his presentation, Dr. Smeets will compare the performance of
waterbased field applied UV cured wood floor coatings with
conventional solutions and highlight the advantages and
disadvantages of the different technologies. He will also
evaluate several UV cure processing and formulating variables
regarding their effect on coating performance.
The PRA Woodcoatings Congress will be held at the Mercure Hotel
Amsterdam Aan de Amstel / The Netherlands. Dr. Smeets will give
his presentation on October 13th, 2010 during the session on
‘Compliant Technologies for Interior Wood Coatings’ which is
taking place between 9 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.
