Cytec Appoints Director of Investor Relations

West Paterson, NJ, September 28, 2007 -- Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jodi Allen as Director of Investor Relations. Ms. Allen has been with Cytec since 1990 and held various positions in sales, planning, procurement and most recently, Director of Marketing for the Polymer Additives product line. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University and a Masters in Business Administration from New York University.

Ms. Allen will report to David Drillock who was appointed Cytec’s Chief Financial Officer in May, 2007.
