Extended Durability for Wood
Stains with Cytec’s RESYDROLTM AY 6705 Resin
Brussels – September 19, 2011 – RESYDROLTM AY 6705 water-borne
acrylic modified alkyd resin (44% solid content) formulated by
Cytec Industries Inc.(NYSE:CYT) extends durability with its
outstanding penetration for timber substrates. It is therefore
an excellent choice for feeding and protecting exterior wood
stains and timber decking. Its quick drying time and affinity
for timber with varying degrees of tannin content promotes fast
and easy recoating.
This hybrid system captures the sought after properties of both
alkyds and acrylics, allowing customers to enjoy the best of
both worlds. Its durability is further strengthened by its
improved UV (ultra-violet) resistance. This low VOC (volatile
organic compound) resin doesn’t peel or flake and that spells
easy repair and refurbishment.
