Cytec Announces Price Increases on its Alkyds and Acrylics in Europe, Middle East and Africa

Brussels – September 20th , 2010 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT), and its affiliated companies, announced today to its customers that it is increasing the selling prices of its entire range of VIALKYD^®, DUROFTAL^®, VIACRYL®, MACRYNAL^®, RESYDROL^® and UCECRYL^® alkyd and acrylic resins in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The price increase will be applicable on all shipments as of October 1st, 2010, or as contracts allow. It will be up to EUR 0.15/kg, depending on the grade.

Cytec remains committed to servicing and delivering value to its customers. This price increase is necessary to compensate for the increase of key raw materials over the last several months, mainly caused by shortages. These shortages are expected to continue in the coming months.
