Cytec Engineered Materials
Receives Spirit AeroSystems’ Outstanding Supplier Award
Tempe, Ariz. – August 18, 2009 – Cytec Engineered Materials, a
business unit of Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT), today
announced that its Havre de Grace, Maryland and Greenville,
Texas facilities have received Spirit AeroSystems’ (NYSE:SPR)
Outstanding Supplier Award.
Spirit AeroSystems Supply Chain Management issues these awards
to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance,
with nominations typically coming from the company’s procurement
groups. Suppliers may be nominated for the award for offering
outstanding support, expediting deliveries or providing weekend
assistance.
“We thank Spirit AeroSystems for recognizing CEM’s contributions
by giving us this award,” said Barry Penney, VP Operations, CEM.
“We are especially honored because the award shows that our
innovative technologies and dedication to superior customer
service help our customers be successful.”
CEM’s Greenville facility supplies Spirit AeroSystems with
carbon fiber composite materials and Havre de Grace supplies
metal bond adhesives, surfacing films, core fill materials and
primers. Some of Spirit’s recent successes, which CEM has
supported with quality materials and service, include production
of a complete “ready to hang” nacelle/thrust reverser package
for business jet applications and an integrated
cockpit/cabin/tail assembly for military rotorcraft
applications.
