Cytec Announces Price Increases
for CRYLCOAT® Powder Coating Resins
West Paterson, NJ, June 6, 2008 –
Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) announced today it is
increasing the prices of its CRYLCOAT® powder coating resins
shipped in North America on or after July 15, 2008.
The price increase will be $0.07/lb. on all CRYLCOAT® powder
coating resins.
The increase is necessitated by the soaring cost of major raw
materials used in the production of polyester powder resins, and
by the substantial increases in energy, freight and
transportation costs. The company continues to implement
cost-saving initiatives to minimize the cumulative effect of all
rising costs as much as possible.
