Cytec Announces Price Increases
for Selected UV/EB Curable Monomers, Oligomers, Photoinitiators,
and VANCRYLŽ Acrylic Resins in the Americas.
West Paterson, NJ, May 30, 2008 – Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT)
announced today that it is increasing the prices of selected UV/EB
curable oligomers, monomers, photo-initiators, and VANCRYLŽ
acrylic resins, shipped in the Americas on or after June 23,
2008, or as contracts allow.
Monomers will increase between 10 to 20 percent, oligomers will
increase between 4 to 20 percent, and VANCRYLŽ acrylic resins
will increase between 6 to 10 percent.
The increases are necessitated by the unprecedented, escalating
increase in raw material, packaging, energy and transportation
costs.
The company continues to implement cost-saving initiatives to
help minimize the cumulative effect of all the rising costs.
