Cytec to Present Unique Crud
Processing Solution at ALTA Metallurgical Conference
Woodland Park, NJ – May 23, 2013 – Cytec
Industries Inc. (NYSE: CYT) announced today that it will present
the paper Crud Processing Improvements using ACORGA
CB™ 1000 Crud Busting Reagent at ALTA in Perth, Australia.
Violina Cocalia, R&D Manager for Cytec MEP and Mineral
Processing, will deliver the presentation on Tuesday, May 28th
2013.
As Crud is a common concern in solvent extraction processes,
Cytec developed a unique crud treatment process utilizing both
chemical and mechanical means to enhance the solid/liquid
separation. ACORGA CB™ 1000 improves overall processing time. In
addition, the organic quality of the recovered organic is higher
than that recovered by typical mechanical processing means,
which can lead to improved separation times, entrainments, and
total suspended solids.
