Cytec Introduces ACORGA™ OR Series of Extractants for Oxidative Degradation Protection

Perth, Western Australia, May 18th 2011 - Cytec Industries Inc., (NYSE:CYT) will introduce its latest ACORGA™ OR15 extractants and ACORGA™ OR25 extractants at the ALTA Conference to be held in Perth from 23-28 May 2011. These extractants are specifically formulated to provide extra oxidative degradation protection.

Mr Shane Wiggett, Regional Sales Manager, Asia Pacific, said, “Our ACORGA™ extractants enable our customers to limit the effects of high manganese oxidation, reduce organic losses and impurity transfer, and improve stage efficiency. Ultimately, this results in an improved and efficient extraction process with a higher yield.”

A presentation entitled, “Oxidation in Solvent Extraction Processes” which reviews this new ACORGA™ OR series of extractants will be made by Mr Shane Wiggett at the ALTA Conference. Mr Cyril Bourget, Account Manager - Europe & North America, will present Cytec’s second paper on a circuit modeling update for CYANEX™ 272 extractant at this Conference.
