Cytec Promotes Protective Coatings At ‘Design Your Paint
– Paint Your Design’ Congress
Brussels, May 3, 2012 –– Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE: CYT) will
participate for the first time in the ‘Design Your Paint – Paint
Your Design’ Congress, organized by the Federation of
Scandinavian Paint and Varnish Technologists (SLF). Dr. Florian
Lunzer, TS&D Segment Manager Protective Coatings, will present
the theme ‘New Solvent-Free Waterborne Epoxy Resin Dispersion
for Low VOC 2-Pack Protective Coatings’.
“Human exposure to organic solvents is a concern, especially
during interior applications”, says Dr. Florian Lunzer. “In
order to offer a new alternative to the protective coatings
market, Cytec has developed a solvent-free, waterborne solid
epoxy resin dispersion with good shear stability. This resin can
be partnered with various waterborne hardeners to formulate very
low VOC systems for topcoat and primer applications that require
2K epoxy performance”, he adds.
The congress will take place on May 10 & 11 at the Paasitorni
