CYTEC AT THE EUROPEAN COATINGS SHOW IN NUREMBERG,
GERMANY:
BRINGING INNOVATION TO THE SURFACE

from May 8 -10, 2007 at the European Coatings Show at Nuremberg.
In hall 2, at stand 2-511.
Cytec is presenting its latest developments of innovative
resins and additives under the theme “Bringing Innovation
to the Surface”.
Liquid Coating Resins and Additives
Cytec is a one-source global supplier of advanced liquid
coating resins and additives. We help our customers develop
innovative formulations which improve coatings performance,
provide greater ease of application, produce better finishes,
and create global competitive advantages through lower environmental
impact products.
Cytec offers a comprehensive range of liquid coating resins
covering all major technology platforms, e.g. Alkyds, Acrylics,
Epoxies, Phenolics, Polyesters, Polyurethanes as well as additives
and crosslinkers.
Cytec is developing advanced technologies for new applications
in key industries worldwide: architectural and construction,
automotive and transportation, compounding and reinforcement,
electronics, industrial metals and wood, protective coatings
and lubricants.
For the Industrial market, Cytec has recently introduced,
amongst others:
• RESYDROL® AY 6173w/45WA, a new waterborne alkyd
emulsion offering low VOC alternative to solvent based alkyd
resins and acrylic emulsions for industrial anticorrosion
primers
• BECKOPOX® EP 386w/52WA, a new waterborne epoxy
dispersion. This innovative generation of epoxy systems offers
anticorrosion, flexibility, shear stability, longer pot life
and opens up additional possibilities for formulating high
performance anticorrosion 2K primers
• ADDITOL® XW 6528, a new co-crosslinkable grinding
resin for industrial 1K and 2K applications
For the Automotive and Transportation markets, Cytec latest
developments include:
• MACRYNAL® SM 2810/75BAC, a new high solid OH
functional acrylic resin meeting low VOC requirements for
clearcoats and topcoats in refinish and ACE high end applications
For the Architectural market, Cytec is introducing:
• RESYDROL® AZ 6190w/43WA, a new solvent free urethane
modified alkyd emulsion for low VOC internal and external
trim paints
RADCURE UV/EB Curing Resins
Cytec is the world leader in radiation-curing resins, and
provides total solutions for energy-curable coatings and inks
worldwide. We help our customers develop innovative UV/EB
formulations which improve coatings performance, lower total
system costs, and realize the competitive advantages of environmental
compliance
Currently, we are developing leading-edge UV/EB technologies
for adhesion to plastics, outdoor wood joinery, kitchen cabinets,
industrial metal coatings, electronics, building products,
and inks for indirect food packaging printing which can meet
the demanding European food packaging regulations.
For the industrial coating market Cytec is presenting at
the show its low viscous UV/EB curing resins and waterbased
systems for spray applications specially designed for metal
and plastic coatings and wood furniture applications:
• UCECOAT® 7655, a new high performance aliphatic
UV/EB polyurethane dispersion for transparent and pigmented
top-coats
• EBECRYL® 8254, a novel high reactive, low viscous
urethane acrylate with superior scratch and solvent resistance
For the Graphic Arts market, Cytec is presenting its EBECRYL
LEO™ resins range dedicated to food packaging applications.
Cytec is expanding the portfolio of resins for food packaging
printing to a range of seven products. With this growing resins
portfolio, Cytec is showing its commitment to further expanding
the safe use of UV/EB curable inks and varnishes for food
packaging printing:
• IRR 635, a new EBECRYL LEO UV/EB curing resin for
flexographic inks for indirect food packaging applications
• IRR 645 and IRR 646, new EBECRYL LEO UV/EB curing
resins for lithographic inks for indirect food packaging applications
Powder Coating Resins and Additives
Cytec is a single-source global supplier of top-quality powder
coating resins, hardeners and additives. The flagship CRYLCOAT®
product range offers the broadest selection of polyester resins
for powder coatings designed for value-added, innovative finishes
and reductions in total formulation costs.
Advanced resin technologies available in the Cytec portfolio
include:
• Superdurable resins – offer superior weathering
resistance, certified after 10 years of outdoor exposure in
Florida, and especially designed for architectural powder
applications
• Specialty resins systems for clear coat and matte
finishes – special effects made easy with ready-made
