Cytec to Present Recent Developments in Phosphonium Ionic Liquid Technology for the Lubricant Industry

Woodland Park, NJ – May 2, 2013 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE: CYT) will share its innovative CYPHOS®  phosphonium ionic liquid chemistry at the upcoming Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) in Detroit, MI May 5 - 9, 2013.

Jeff Dyck, Cytec Application Technology Group Leader of Phosphine Specialties will deliver a paper entitled “Anti-wear and Extreme Pressure Properties of Oil-Soluble Phosphonium Ionic Liquids as Lubricant Additives” at the conference. Cytec will report comparative wear and extreme pressure for synthetic formulations of phosphonium ionic liquids against those for standard additives.
