Unveils UCECOAT™ 7200 Waterborne UV Resin
- An Outstanding Solvent Free Hardcoat

May 3rd, 2012 - To meet the increasing environmental awareness
and market demand for high performance hardcoats with low VOC
(volatile organic compound), Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) is
excited to unveil its new UCECOAT™ 7200 waterborne ultra violet
curable resin (WBUV) with outstanding hardcoat performance
properties and unique high solid content.
Cytec’s new UCECOAT 7200 is based on a novel proprietary WBUV
technology that enables formulators to develop a solvent free UV
hardcoat for spray application. Its good direct adhesion to
plastics makes it a perfect choice for general industrial
plastics application.
“UCECOAT 7200 is able to meet the consumer electronics market
need for a reduced carbon footprint through its non-hazardous,
low emission, solvent free sprayable coating without compromise
in hardcoat performance. This product is a breakthrough in high
solid content with excellent colloid stability as well as
outstanding hardness performance when compared with current WBUV
