CYTEC TO ADJUST PRICING FOR MINERAL PROCESSING AND SOLVENT EXTRACTION PRODUCTS
Increase in prices to take effect June 1, 2008.

West Paterson, NJ – May 1, 2008 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE: CYT) announced today the implementation of a global price adjustment of 7 to 15 percent on all mining products used in mineral processing and solvent extraction including AEROFROTH® frothing agents, OREPREP® frothing agents, AEROPHINE® promoter, SUPERFLOC® flocculants, AERODRI® surfactant, AEROFLOAT® flotation reagents, AERO® promoter, ACORGA® extraction reagents and CYANEX® solvent extraction reagents products. This adjustment, effective June 1, 2008, is being implemented to offset the increased costs of raw materials, energy and transportation.
