DAOTAN™ TW 7000/40WA Binder
Offers Ideal Characteristics and Aspect for Most Demanding
Industrial Plastic Coatings
Brussels, April 21, 2011 – Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT)
brings a new solution for high-end two-component plastic
coatings to the market. DAOTAN™ TW 7000/40WA waterborne
polyurethane dispersion offers all characteristics needed for
most demanding coatings in the area of automotive interior
applications, ACE and foil coatings as well as for the general
industry.
DAOTAN TW 7000/40WA will be the first choice binder for clear
and topcoats. The product shows outstanding chemical resistance
and high hardness, while keeping high flexibility. This
characteristic makes it as well a product of choice for coatings
of plastic foils. Furthermore, it adheres perfectly to many
commonly used plastic substrates, hence eliminating the need for
an adhesion primer and its associated cost. Depending on the
application, DAOTAN TW 7000/40WA can be used as sole binder, to
achieve highest chemical resistance. Formulated with waterbased
acrylics or polyesters it exhibits “piano –effect” gloss and
offers superior distinctness of image (DOI).
