Cytec Increases
Capacity for RESYDROLŪ Waterborne Alkyds in the Americas
West Paterson, NJ, April 21, 2008 ― Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT)
announced today its plans to increase the capacity for RESYDROLŪ
water-based alkyds at the company’s Wallingford, CT production
facility. The new capacity will increase Cytec’s ability to
respond to customer needs in North America. Current plans are
for the new capacity to come on-stream during the second quarter
2009.
“This expansion will further strengthen Cytec’s position as the
leader in water-based alkyd resins globally,” said Frank
Aranzana, Vice President, Cytec Surface Specialties.
“The additional capacity in the Americas will meet the growing
need in the architectural and industrial maintenance markets for
water-based products which meet the new volatile organic
compounds regulations,” Aranzana added. “The new production unit
further strengthens our global offering and allows our customers
in the Americas to benefit from a broader product portfolio and
better service.”
