Cytec Announces Price Increases on Alkyd Resins and Additives in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

West Paterson, NJ, April 15, 2008 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) announced today to its customers that it is increasing prices of several of its Alkyd resins and Additives in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The pricing adjustment for Alkyd resins is entirely driven by the continuing cost escalation of some raw materials, especially vegetable oils.

The price increase will be applied to those Alkyd resins containing these raw materials.

Due to a significant change in pricing and availability of Cobalt, a price increase will also be applied to all Additives containing this raw material.

All increases will take effect on all shipments on or after May 15, 2008
