Cytec Announces Price Increases on Amino and Phenolic Resins in North and South America

West Paterson, NJ, April 15, 2008 ― Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT) announced today to its customers that it is increasing off-list prices on its CYMEL®, MELMAC®, BECKAMINE® and UFORMITE® amino resins by US $0.10/lb., and is increasing both list and off-list prices on its PHENODUR® phenolic resins by US $0.12/lb.

The price increases will take effect on all shipments in North and South America on or after May 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, and will be in addition to the previously announced Methanol surcharge which became effective January 1, 2008.

All of the increases are necessary to offset the increasing costs of raw materials, labor, energy and transportation.
