Cytec Industries to Open Shared Services Center in Riga, Latvia

Woodland Park, New Jersey, March 22, 2010 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT), has announced its intention to open a Shared Services Center in Riga, Latvia in the second half of 2010. This Center will provide human resources, finance, information technology and procurement services (administrative and transactional) to Cytec facilities in the European and North American regions. Cytec chose Latvia primarily because of its good business climate and an educated, cost competitive workforce. The Company intends to recruit approximately 125 people over a two year period to work in this Center.
