Cytec Announces Price Increase on Specialty Coating Resins Waterborne and Additives in the Americas

Woodland Park, NJ – March 5, 2012 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE: CYT), and its affiliated companies, announce a selling price increase on a range of Specialty Coating Resins and Additives in the Americas. The announced changes are necessary to offset increasing costs of raw materials and feed stocks. The increase will range from 6% - 12% depending on product family. Included in the increase are: ADDITOL^® coating additives, BECKOPOXTM waterborne epoxy dispersions, CYCAT^® catalysts, CYDROTHANE^® polyurethane dispersions, DAOTANTM polyurethane dispersions , DUROXYNTM waterborne epoxy-ester dispersions, MACRYNAL^® waterborne dispersions, MODAFLOW^® coating additives, MULTIFLOW^® coating additives, PC DEFOAMER additives, RESYDROL^® waterborne alkyd emulsions, UCECRYL^® waterborne alkyd emulsions, and VIACRYL^® waterborne acrylic resins and emulsions.

These increases will be effective for shipments as of April 1, 2012 or as contracts allow.

Cytec is committed to servicing and delivering value to its customers, however this price increase is necessary to compensate for the increase in raw material costs.
