Cytec Announces Price Increase on Liquid Coating Resins and Additives in the Americas

Woodland Park, NJ – January 19, 2011 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE: CYT), and its affiliated companies, today announce a selling price increase on all its entire range of Liquid Coating Resins and Additives in the Americas. The announced changes are necessary to offset increasing costs of raw materials and freight. The increase will range from $0.05-$0.35/lb depending on product family. Included in the increase are: ADDITOL^®, ALNOVOL^®, BECKOPOX^TM, CYCAT^®, CYDROTHANE^®, CYMEL^®, CYREZ^® , DAOTAN^TM , DUROXYN^TM, PHENODUR^®, and RESYDROL^®.

These increases will be effective for shipments as of February 14, 2011 or as contracts allow.

Cytec is committed to servicing and delivering value to its customers, however this price increase is necessary to compensate for the increase in raw material costs.
