Cytec Named as Key Member of a New
Department of Energy Funded Institute
Woodland Park, NJ – January 11, 2013 – Cytec Industries Inc.
(NYSE: CYT) will be a member of the Critical Materials
Institute, a new research consortium funded by the U.S.
Department of Energy. The Critical Materials Institute, being
led by Ames Laboratory, is chartered to establish an Energy
Innovation Hub and develop solutions to the domestic shortages
of rare earth metals and other materials critical for U.S.
energy security. The new research center will bring together
leading researchers from academia, four Department of Energy
national laboratories, as well as the private sector.
